PSHE
"There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly"
Buckminster Fuller
PSHE has a very high profile in the life of our school and is at the forefront of whole school initiatives. Our children learn via effective strategies to promote inclusion and all pupils engage fully in activities to promote their personal and social development. At St Lawrence Catholic Primary School we teach our pupils to stay safe and healthy, build self-esteem, resilience and empathy whilst our effective PSHE programme tackles barriers to learning, raises aspirations, and improves the life chances of all of our children in our school.
Through our PSHE curriculum pupils develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to keep themselves healthy and safe, and prepare for life and work in modern Britain. Our curriculum supports pupils to manage many of the critical opportunities, challenges and responsibilities they will face as they grow up and later in adulthood in an ever changing, challenging world. By working with partner schools, parents, carers, external agencies and our Parish we can reinforce the very high standard of PSHE education in our community.
