Headteacher's Welcome
On behalf of the pupils, staff and governing body here at St Lawrence Catholic Primary School, I would like to welcome you to our website. We are a thriving, busy and welcoming primary school at the heart of our parish and neighbourhood in Feltham, South West London. Our aim is to allow visitors to gain a flavour of what makes us tick and to give an insight into our inclusive community. We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website and gain the information which you may require about our school. Please feel free to contact our office directly or visit us in person if any query you may have is not catered for here.
Catholic principles based on gospel values moulded by a community centred on love and forgiveness with a desire to succeed for the highest accolades; are the roots that underpin the ethos of the distinctive nature of catholic education. We believe that here at St Lawrence we have been delivering this since the school was founded in 1934.
Today we have 460 children ranging in age from 3 to 11. Our Nursery Acorn Class welcomes children in the September after they turn 3 and we offer a limited number of part time (15 hour per week) and full time (30 hour per week) places. Admission into Reception Class is governed by The London Borough of Hounslow in conjunction with our Admissions Policy and supporting documents of Catholic Practice. More information about joining our school can be found on our Admissions page.
Our school day starts at 8.45am and finishes at 3.15pm. Morning registration is at 8.55am. This equates to 32.5 hours per week.
We believe that we offer each child regardless of their starting point or ability, the opportunities that they are divinely entitled to. Our Mission statement cites that ‘Our school is a place where we all come together as one community to learn, have fun and make lasting friendships, all under God’s love and care’. My mission as head teacher is to ensure that every child is educated to their full potential and that the curriculum which we offer allows the ‘whole child’ to thrive not just academically but in every facet of their development including spiritually, physically and morally. Our School Motto was created through staff discussion and agreement on what we wish to be the ‘Saint Lawrence Way.’

Our governing body plays an integral role in our success; acting as the 'critical friend', they challenge and support us to ensure that we are always able to deliver our vision and values.
