This is an exciting opportunity to become involved in a high achieving school, renowned for its academic excellence as well as its nurture of teachers and pupils alike, and where a healthy work life balance is actively encouraged for the good of all.

Staff are positive about support received from leaders and governors for their well-being. ( OFSTED 2022)

At St Lawrence School, we are very proud of the opportunities we offer the children. We are a strong community school, supported fully by our parish and parents and fully engaged in supporting the community we serve.

Pupils are happy and safe at St Lawrence Catholic Primary School. Their teachers are kind and caring. A parent said, reflecting the view of many, ‘It is like dropping our children off with family each day.’ Pupils are proud of their school and its facilities. ( OFSTED 2022)

Our new classroom block and updated buildings make our school a vibrant place in which to work. We engage fully with the opportunities available in our local area and our variety of school clubs before and after school is very comprehensive so widening the provision offered to our pupils.

Leaders have developed a curriculum which helps pupils to learn knowledge in a logical order. Their intention is for pupils to leave school with the knowledge and skills to ‘be successful in an ever-changing world’  ( OFSTED 2022)

You will be welcomed into a very stable staff who are fully committed to achieving very good outcomes for children. You will receive a deep commitment to professional development to enable you to develop and grow through a structured induction and training programme, coaching, personalised and peer on peer support. We collaborate with other schools to add support, share ideas and to challenge our thinking.

We can also offer:

• Children who are enthusiastic, well behaved and eager to learn

• A wonderful school with excellent facilities and positive links with parents and the local community

• A stable and supportive team of staff

• Well-equipped classrooms and IT equipment

• Excellent SEN and support staff provision

• On-site parking and excellent public transport links

• Catering facilities (home cooked & subsidised if eating with the children)
