Secondary School Transfer

Our children will transfer to secondary school at the end of Year 6, in the September following their 11th birthday. We are lucky to have 6 Catholic Secondary schools in the local area.

In September of Year 6 the children will receive a leaflet from the London Borough of Hounslow explaining the application process and deadlines. If you do not live within the London Borough of Hounslow you must apply directly to the borough in which you live.  Each school will have advertised open days and evenings which it is strongly recommended you attend. Please check individual secondary school websites for more information.  In September there will be a meeting for Year 6 parents to explain the application process. The deadline to submit your application will be published by the Local Authorities and will be clearly outlined.  It is essential that you complete your online application and submit all your supporting documentation within this time. Secondary school places are offered in the first week of March.

Parents must apply online to the London Borough of Hounslow (or the borough you live in) and they must place up to 6 schools of their choice on the form.

For each Faith School they place on the LBH online form, parents must fill in a supplementary

information form and send it directly to the school applied for. Parents must check the admissions criteria for each school to ensure they provide the correct information / documents.  Parents must also obtain a Certificate of Catholic Practice signed by your Parish Priest.

Online applications, key dates, transfer information and contact details can all be found at www.hounslow.gov.uk/admissions
